Why Your 9-to-5 Feels Miserable and Unrewarding: The Missing "Value Anchor" That Traps You

The Brutal Truth: Without Extra Value Anchors, You’re Self-Destructing

"If you have no additional value anchors besides being an employee, you are essentially self-destructing."

Modern industrial and educational systems have stripped ordinary people of their ability to produce independently. Here’s why:

1. The Industrial System and the Loss of Individual Value

Expensive Tools, Exploited Labor

Since the 19th century, industrialization replaced craftsmanship with machinery. These machines were prohibitively expensive, owned only by the wealthy. Workers became laborers—selling their time to operate tools they didn’t own.

The Assembly Line: Efficiency at the Cost of Meaning

Adam Smith’s pin factory example reveals the paradox: dividing labor into specialized tasks boosts productivity but reduces purpose. A worker making 300 pins a day feels no ownership—they’re a cog in a machine.

2. Education’s Role: Training Cogs for the Machine

Modern education molds standardized workers for industrialized systems. "You’re taught to fit a role, not to create." Skills become hyper-specialized, trapping individuals in dependency on the system.

3. The Wage Trap: Why You Can’t Get Ahead

"Your salary is set just high enough to keep you alive—and low enough to keep you trapped."
Capitalists maximize profits by paying the bare minimum: wages align with local living costs and labor supply. In oversaturated markets, salaries stagnate.

4. The Silent Killer: Eroding Your Soul

Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Notes from the Underground warned: "Forcing someone into meaningless work is the cruelest punishment."
Daily grind strips away purpose. "You become a means to profit, not a human with agency."

5. Escape the Matrix: Build Your "Value Loop"

Step 1: Become a Creator, Not a Laborer

"Creation—not labor—is the antidote to despair." Develop assets that generate passive income: code, books, courses, or intellectual property.

Step 2: Reverse-Engineer the System

While employed, study your company’s entire value chain. "Could you shrink this model into a solo venture?" Learn skills to build your own闭环 (closed-loop system).

Your Invitation to Revolt

"The world isn’t perfect, but you don’t have to surrender."

Escape the Rat Race: How to Avoid the Meritocracy Trap and Build Your Unique Competitive Edge

Content: In an era of relentless competition and "involution," the pressure to conform to standardized metrics of success has never been greater. A recent controversial article from Zhejiang University titled *"24/67,656: They Won the University’s Top Scholarship"* starkly exposes the root of societal burnout. Our education system operates like an assembly line , churning out identical "standardized products." Those who meet the criteria become cogs in the machine—nails or screws. Those who don’t? Discarded as "defective goods," left scrambling for purpose. This is the  "Meritocracy Trap." We’re all taught to strive to be the "numerator"—the exceptional few. Yet, despite our efforts, most end up as overlooked "denominators." Meritocracy blames us:  "You didn’t work hard enough. Your grades aren’t stellar. Your credentials are lacking."  So, we chase the same narrow path, sacrificing sanity for a sliver of...

Why Knowing More Doesn’t Lead to Success: The Ultimate Guide to Breaking Through Life’s Stalemate

The Path to Breaking Through Life’s Stagnation: "Your Life Has Only One Main Quest" Why do we understand so many principles yet still struggle to live a fulfilling life? Why do we acquire vast knowledge but fail to land a decent job? Why do we work tirelessly yet remain far from our ideal lives? Why do countless "get-rich" strategies flood the internet, yet few actually succeed? This article addresses the root problem:  What should we choose to focus our efforts on? "Choosing the right thing to do is infinitely more important than doing things right." Without clarity, motivation falters. Without direction, effort loses meaning. Without tangible rewards, courage to take risks vanishes. The Trap of "High-Knowledge Poverty" Many pride themselves on understanding complex theories or debating global trends, yet remain stagnant. Why? "Knowledge that isn’t translated into actionable skills is merely useless information stored in your brain."...

The Fundamental Logic of Self-Empowerment: "Eliminate Ambiguity, Create Clarity"

The first step towards self-improvement is to enhance the precision of your understanding of the world. It's no exaggeration to say that nearly all misfortune and suffering in ordinary lives stem from "cognitive ambiguity." As Elon Musk stated: "I've never believed in so-called lack of motivation. All issues with taking action fundamentally arise from insufficient precision." Our genetic programming instinctively generates fear towards ambiguous matters, triggering an urge to escape. In ancient times, when our ancestors saw grass moving without knowing what lurked within, they developed intense psychological stress responses - fleeing immediately to avoid potential lions. Thus, "avoiding uncertainty" became encoded in our DNA for survival. When any matter remains unclear in our cognition, its perceived difficulty expands infinitely. Even simple tasks morph into insurmountable challenges in our vague subconscious, ultimately forcing us to surrender....
